A four-leg winter suit lined edge to edge in grey fleece, with a high stand collar, a hook-and-loop belly opening, a leash ring on the shoulders and two drawcords for taking up slack.
Most dog coats stop at the back, which is not where a short-coated dog loses heat. This one is a one-piece: chest, belly and all four legs, lined the whole way through in grey fleece, with the tail left free.
It opens along the flank on wide hook-and-loop strips, so the suit lies flat and presses shut from the side instead of being threaded under a dog who would rather not. A drawcord and spring cord lock sit behind the high collar, and a second pair low on the back, so a dog who measures between two sizes can still wear one properly.
A moulded ring on a short reflective webbing tab sits at the top of the shoulders, above the coat rather than under it, so the leash reaches it without the suit coming off. It is a coat ring, not a harness – if your dog pulls hard, keep the leash where you normally clip it. A thin reflective line runs across the shoulder and catches light after dark.
Six sizes, S to XXXL, fitting chests from about 20 to 37 inches, in army green or red. Measure the chest at its widest point and go up if you land between two rows – the chart on this page is measured, not estimated.

The first properly cold morning

Size up. A slightly roomier fit keeps shoulders free and makes it easier to get on and off; too snug restricts movement. And if it does turn out too roomy, swapping down a size is free.
The coated shell is built to shed steady rain on everyday walks. In prolonged downpours some moisture can eventually work through seams and openings, so towel off and hang it to dry after very wet outings.
Let them sniff it first, then start with short indoor sessions with treats before the first wet walk. Most pets settle once they connect it with going outside.
