Description

A padded, hooded fall-and-winter vest for small dogs with a reflective harness built in: faux-fur ruff over the ears, one front zip, lead clips on at the back.

When the leaves are down and the morning walk starts with frost on the grass, a small dog feels it first: they are low to the cold ground and there is not much of them to hold warmth. This is the layer for that stretch of the year, from the first cold snap of fall through the dry days of winter. It is a quilted, padded vest with a hood, and a reflective harness is already built across the back, so there is no coat-then-harness routine at the door.

The padding wraps the neck, back and ribs down to the base of the tail. A chunky zipper closes the chest from the collar down to a round, padded belly flap, and the two front armholes are bound in thick black plush, so the openings sit soft and close around the legs.

The hood carries a faux-fur ruff. Up, it frames the face and covers the ears, the part that keeps turning into the wind. Down, the ruff sits around the neck like a scarf collar.

Late fall and winter walks are mostly walks in the dark. Reflective webbing runs over both shoulders and around the ribs with two rows of reflective dots, an adjustable strap on each flank, and two silver D-rings beside a black side-release buckle at the center of the back. Clip the lead through both rings together and go. The back panel is cream, with a brown printed h mark and the line THIS IS THE BEST OF TIMES.

It is sleeveless, so the legs stay free. It is a warm layer for cold, dry days rather than a rain layer.

Six sizes run from about 16.5 in to 24.4 in around the chest, for dogs from roughly 3 to 29 lb. Measure around the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs, and size by that number rather than by weight; the size guide below has neck and back length too. Check the fit before each walk: the straps should sit snug but let two fingers slide under.

Care & cleaning

Spot-clean or wipe down with a damp cloth, then hang to dry away from direct heat. Skip bleach, softener, and ironing.

Shipping & returns

Free shipping across the US & Canada by air express, tracked door to door. Orders ship from our warehouse in Guangdong, China, dispatched within 1–2 business days; most orders reach your door 4–12 business days after you order, the same window in the US and Canada.

We also ship to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong: tracked shipping is a flat $9.90, free when you order two or more items, and typically takes 4–12 business days door to door. At our prices these destinations charge no import tax, so there is nothing to pay on delivery.

Returns are free for 30 days — we email a prepaid label, so it costs you nothing. Outside the US and Canada there is no local prepaid label, so we settle the return with you by email. Exchanges ship free both ways too: sizing down costs nothing, and if the size you swap to costs more, you pay only the difference. Trying the fit on your dog at home is fine; that is what the 30 days are for.

Arrived damaged or defective? That is a return too — same prepaid label, full refund or a free replacement. Just add a photo of the problem when you start the return.

Before a cold walk

One zip and the warm layer is on

On a cold morning nobody wants a long dressing routine at the door. One pull of the chunky zip closes the padded chest, the front legs are already through the plush-bound armholes, the harness webbing is in place, and the next thing you pick up is the lead.

Cold, dry mornings

Hood up, ears covered

The quilted hood is edged with a faux-fur ruff that frames the face and covers the ears when it is up. At the end of the lead on a cold morning, the head is the part that keeps turning into the wind, and this is the part it looks after.

Short winter afternoons

No harness to fit over a winter coat

Fitting a separate harness over a padded coat is the fiddly part of a winter walk. Here two silver D-rings and a black side-release buckle sit at the center of the reflective back strap. Clip the lead through both rings and the lap of the park starts at the door.

Dark by dinnertime

Reflective dots for the early dark

From November on, the evening walk happens after dark. Reflective dots run in two rows along the harness webbing, and they pick up lamp light and headlights as a line of bright points. That makes a low, dark-coated dog easier to notice at the curb; it is not a replacement for a light on the lead.

Good to know

Common questions.

How do I measure my pet for the right size?

Measure back length from the base of the neck to the base of the tail while your pet stands naturally, and chest girth at the widest point just behind the front legs. Compare both against the Size guide above.

What size dogs does it fit?

It is charted in 6 sizes (S–3XL) for a chest girth of 16.5–24.4 in, roughly 3.3–28.7 lb. Go by chest girth first and use weight as a rough check. A dog whose chest measures more than 24.4 in is past the largest size.

My pet is between two sizes. Which should I choose?

Size up. A slightly roomier fit keeps shoulders free and makes it easier to get on and off; too snug restricts movement. And if it does turn out too roomy, swapping down a size is free.

How do I get an anxious pet used to wearing it?

Let them sniff it first, then start with short indoor sessions with treats before the first walk in it. Most pets settle once they connect it with going outside.

How should I wash it?

Follow the Care & cleaning panel above, then hang to dry away from direct heat.

What if the size is wrong?

Swap it within 30 days, no reason needed — we email a prepaid label and ship the new size as soon as the carrier scans your return. Sizing down is free; sizing up costs only the price difference. Or send it back for a full refund.
